Biography
Christopher Parise is a freelance percussionist and clinician based in Los Angeles. Chris graduated from UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music in 2010 with a B.A in percussion performance under the guidance of Mitchell Peters. His versatility as a musician has led him to tour throughout the United States with a variety of artists including Grammy-nominated baritone Jubilant Sykes, Harriet Brown, Rare Times, Liphemra, The Mark Allen Group, and south Florida rapper Denzel Curry.

Chris operates his own percussion studio in West Los Angeles where he teaches both classical percussion and drum set. Besides his own studio, Chris is a percussion coach at Paul Revere Middle School, John Adams Middle School, and Lincoln Middle School, and Santa Monica High School.
Chris is a certified Social-Emotional Healing Arts facilitator and trainer of trainers, a program offered through the UCLA Healing Arts. His special interest has been in the Beat the Odds Program and has facilitated Beat the Odds classes in various schools within LAUSD.

Currently he is excited to offer a Beat the Odds® Program at the Westside Music Conservatory and looks forward to interacting with both adults and children interested in social emotional development through drumming.
